This workshop transformed a simple team-building afternoon into a creative act of collective storytelling. In the heart of Modena, employees were invited to explore the city through the lens of a Polaroid camera, capturing images inspired by five key themes: food, monuments, motors, people, and opera. Working in small groups, each participant took a black-and-white instant photo and paired it with a word or phrase, building not only a visual narrative but a shared interpretation of their surroundings. The final outcome was a printed brochure, designed and curated by the project’s tutors, and a framed collection of the original photographs, a tangible trace of a temporary but powerful moment of connection. More than a workshop, it became a reflection on the language of images, on how we see and relate to what surrounds us, and on the unique perspectives that emerge when each voice is given space to be seen.
